The 21st century has witnessed a magnificent rise in start-up companies. More and more entrepreneurs are emerging and marketing their business. In order to start your own business venture, a unique business idea and a plan to execute it, is a must. Entrepreneurship refers to an individual's ability to turn ideas into action. The entrepreneurship competence includes transversal skill and attitudes as well as more specialized knowledge and business skills. The entrepreneur develops a business model, acquires the human and other required resources, and is fully responsible for its success or failure. Entrepreneurship operates within an entrepreneurship ecosystem. Starting and operating a new business involves considerable risk and effort to overcome the inertia against creating something new. In creating and growing a new venture, the entrepreneur assumes the responsibility and risks for its development and survival and enjoys the corresponding rewards. Entrepreneurship Education Programs- tend to focus on building knowledge and skills about entrepreneurship and target secondary or higher education students and on building knowledge and skills to start or operate an enterprise. These target potential entrepreneurs (e.g. vulnerable or unemployed individuals) and those who are already practicing (e.g. owners of small or high-growth potential enterprises).
Entrepreneurship Education and Training represents both academic education and formal training interventions that share the broad objective of providing individuals with the entrepreneurial mindsets and skills to support participation and performance in a range of entrepreneurial activities. It encompasses a heterogeneous array of interventions, including formal academic education programs as well as stand-alone training programs. Both of these may aim to stimulate entrepreneurship as well as support individuals and enterprises already engaged in entrepreneurial activities. Its beneficiaries include both potential and practicing entrepreneurs who are traditional students enrolled in degree programs, early school leavers, adult learners, individuals with doctoral degrees, minority groups, women, and rural as well as urban populations. This book aims to provide a knowledge about the process of creating and growing a new venture. This lean, focused book concentrates on giving readers a clear understanding of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship while providing a broad survey of all the major topics of the field. The book is written in a clear, friendly style that progresses step-by-step through all of the major topics. The topics included in this book on entrepreneurship are of utmost significance and bound to provide incredible insights to readers. It will serve as a valuable source of reference for aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone else interested in the field.
